The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 20, 2017 SPR17/1308 Brian T. Hardiman Dear Mr. Hardiman: This office has received your original request to the Norwood Town Clerk's Office (Town) inquiring for records. After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeal. The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b); G.L. c. 66, § 10(b). The 10-day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. Nonetheless, subsequent to the intervention by a staff member ofthe Public Records Division, I learned that the Town intends to provide you with a response within ten business days. If after ten business days have passed and the Town denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office will review the matter. Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
