The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 29, 2017 SPR17/1330 Kathleen M. Spofford Townsend Town Clerk 272 Main Street Townsend, MA 01469 Dear Ms. Spofford: I have received the petition of Stephen Sheldon appealing the response of the Town of Townsend (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Sheldon requested certain correspondence relating to an MCAD complaint. Unsatisfied with the Town's response, Mr. Sheldon petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town has provided Mr. Sheldon with a response dated September 29, 2017. I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Sheldon may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
