Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 29, 2017 SPR17/1334 Peter Lukes Town Manager Town of Holden 1204 Main Street Holden, MA 01520 I have received the petition ofMichael Dreslinski appealing the response of the Town of Holden (Town) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Dreslinski requested a copy of any "[r]ecord(s) identifying the dollar amount the. Town ofHoiden was billed for Legal Services, or any other costs associated with public record access lawsuits brought against the Town of Holden or Holden Police Department" relating to a certain court docket. Unsatisfied with the Town's response, which indicates "[t]he Town has no records that are responsive" to his request, Mr. Dreslinski petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing a supplemental response aimed at addressing the concerns Mr. Dreslinski outlined in his appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Town provide Mr. Dreslinski with said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Dreslinski may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days.
