Box 3053 Beverly, MA 01915 Dear Attorney Hamilton: I have received the petition of Allison Jenkins appealing the response of the Town of Hamilton (Town) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Jenkins requested a copy of an email referenced by a member of the Planning Board at a July 25, 2017 open meeting. Unsatisfied with the Town's September 21st response which provided Ms. Jenkins with a copy of the email chain in a Word document, Ms. Jenkins petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that you plan on providing Ms. Jenkins with a PDF version of the email chain. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Town provide Ms. Jenkins with said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Jenkins may appeal the substantive nature ofthe Town's response within ninety (90) days.
