The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords October 3, 2017 SPR17/1385 Daniel W. Finn Executive Director Greenfield Housing Authority 1 Elm Terrace Greenfield, MA 01301 Dear Mr. Finn: I have received the petition of Catherine Ferreira appealing the nonresponse ofthe Greenfield Housing Authority (Authority) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Ferreira requested various records concerning the "Section-8 Homeownership Program" as well as statistical data from the Authority. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Ferreira petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Authority was made aware ofthis appeal, a representative within the Authority noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Authority provide said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre(alsec.state.ma.us. Ms. Ferreira may appeal the substantive nature of the Authority's response within ninety days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
