Quinsigamond Avenue Shrewsbury, MA 01545 Dear Ms. Bergeron: I have received the petition of Catherine Ferreira appealing the response of the Shrewsbury Housing Authority (Authority) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Ferreira requested various records concerning the "Section-8 Homeownership Program" as well as statistical data from the Authority. Unsatisfied with the response she received, Ms. Ferreira petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Authority intends on providing Ms. Ferreira with a response aimed at addressing the concerns outlined in her appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Authority provide Ms. Ferreira with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Ferreira may appeal the substantive nature of the Authority's response within ninety (90) days.
