The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords October 17, 2017 SPR17/1419 Donna Swanson Record Access Officer Department of Correction 50 Maple Street, Suite 3 Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Swanson: I have received the petition of Benjamin Silva appealing the response of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G: L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Silva requested records related to a specific matter and initially the Department provided a response on August 2, 2017. Believing that the Department has not provided all responsive records, Mr. Silva petitioned this office. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, a member of the Public Records Division staff sent you a copy of the appeal file and spoke with you regarding this matter. A representative of the Department informed this office on October 16th that the Department will be providing a supplemental response to Mr. Silva's request. With the proviso that the Department will provide a supplemental response to Mr. Silva without delay, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Silva may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ Rebecca S.
