Murray Supervisor ()(Records October 10. 2017 SPR17/1425 Christopher Redmond Chief of Police Gill Police Department 196B Main Road Gill, MA 01354 Dear Chief Redmond: I have received the petition of Michal Dreslinski appealing the nonresponse of the Gill Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Dreslinski requested records concerning Department vehicle purchases, as well as purchases related to surplus equipment. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Dreslinski petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Department was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the Department noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at prelal.sec.state.ma.us.
