Howey: This office has received your appeal related to your request, dated September 27, 2017, for records from the Attleboro Police Department (Department). After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeaL The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten ( 10 ) business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b); G.L. c. 66. § 1O (b ). The 10 -day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. If after 10 -business days have passed and the Department denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office 1vill review the matter.
