The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Vlilliam Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supel1lisor ofR ecords October 17, 2017 SPR17/1479 G. Baxter Dear G. Baxter: This office has received your appeal related to your request, dated October 3, 2017, for records from the Office of the Attorney General (AGO). After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeal. The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b); G.L. c. 66, § 1O (b ). The ten day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. If after ten business days have passed and the AGO denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office will review the matter. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
