The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords October 23, 2017 SPR17/1483 Brendan Kennedy Deputy Public Information Officer Middlesex County Sheriffs Office 400 Mystic A venue Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Mr. Kennedy: I have received the petition of Attorney Jason Benzaken appealing the nomesponse of the Middlesex County Sheriffs Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Benzaken requested footage from videos, incident reports, GPS data, and accident reports, all concerning an identified incident. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Attorney Benzaken petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Office responded to Attorney Benzaken's request with a response sent on October 23, 2017. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Benzaken may appeal the substantive nature of the Office's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Jason Benzaken, Esq.
