The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth ' Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords October 18, 2017 SPR17/1486 Kathleen Desmarais, M.Ed. Director of Student Services Watertown Public Schools 30 Common Street Watertown, MA 02472-4392 Dear Ms. Desmarais: I have received the petition of Jorge Teixeira appealing the nonresponse of the Watertown Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Teixeira requested "[s]ettlement agreements entered into by your School District with parents and guardians, from January 1, 2011 through today, relative to the provision of special education services and/or educational placement(s) for students with disabilities, redacted of all personally identifying information." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Teixeira petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the School responded to Mr. Teixeira's request with a response sent on September 8, 2017. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the School's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Teixeira may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
