The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords October 23, 2017 SPR17/1490 Andrea Stone Paralegal Springfield Law Department 3 6 Court Street, Room 123 Springfield, MA 01103 Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Russell Seelig appealing the response of the City of Springfield (City) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Seelig requested various documents concerning deciphering codes for various pieces of infrastructure. Unsatisfied with the City's response, Mr. Seelig petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing Mr. Seelig with a supplemental response, focused on addressing the concerns that he outlined in his appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the City provide Mr. Seelig with said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Seelig may appeal the substantive nature of the City's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, 1!JJuw_~ Rebecca S.
