Morgan appealing the response of the Town of Ashland (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Morgan requested records related to minutes and programs of the Town. In his petition, Mr. Morgan states "[t]he town of Ashland has responded with 'unreasonable delay'. They could have responded more promptly and I believe intentionally delayed the response until10 business days per process they setup." Please note, a records access officer shall at reasonable times and without unreasonable delay permit inspection or furnish a copy of any public record, not later than 10 business days following the receipt of the request. G. L. c. 66, § 10(a). Accordingly, I find that the Town has complied with the law by providing Mr. Morgan records within ten business days.
