The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 7, 2017 SPR17/1551 Theresa T. Bunce, CMC/CMMC Town Clerk Town of Dennis 685 Route 134 South Dennis, MA 02660 Dear Ms. Bunce: I have received your petition dated November 1, 2017 on behalf of the Town of Dennis (Town) seeking an extension of time to furnish copies of a requested record, or any portion thereof. G. L. c. 66 § lO(c). As required by law, the Town furnished a copy of this petition to the . requester. G. L. c. 66, § 10( c) . Ruth Menefee requested "[r)ecords of any outstanding building code violations, recent building permits, original building permits, use and occupancy or equivalent, records of well and septic underground or aboveground storage tanks (UST or ASTs) containing petroleum or hazardous materials." The Town requested an extension of time to respond to the request due to an RAO having a family emergency. In a phone call with a staff member in the Public Records Division, the Town indicated they have responded and provided all relevant documents regarding Ms. Menefee's request. Accordingly, I find that in light of the Town fulfilling their statutory obligations in responding to Ms. Menefee's public records request, it is unnecessary to opine on its petition. Ms. Menefee may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
