The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords December 22, 2017 SPR17/1744 Patricia Morgan Records Manager Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center 1 Harvard Road, P.O. Box 8000 Shirley, MA 01464 Dear Ms. Morgan: I have received the petition of John Murphy appealing the response of the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center (Center) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Murphy requested a summary report of his "August 2017 classification." Claiming to not yet have received the responsive records, Mr. Murphy petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Center responded to Mr. Murphy's request with a response sent on October 24, 2017. Nonetheless, a representative from the Center expressed their willingness to provide a supplemental copy. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Center's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Murphy may appeal the substantive nature of the Center's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
