The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 9, 2018 SPR18/023 Brian H. Goldman Detective Sergeant Concord Police Department 219 Walden Street Concord, MA 01742 Dear Sgt. Goldman: I have received the petition of Michael Dreslinski appealing the nonresponse of the Concord Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § IOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Dreslinski requested "[a]ll graphic design/lettering instructions, specifications .... " concerning Department vehicles. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Dreslinski petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Department was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the Department noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, the Department is hereby ordered to provide Mr. Dreslinski with a response within ten business days. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Dreslinski may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ·~~ Rebecca S.
