SPR18/040; SPR18/041; SPR18/042 Tom Mayo

Interim Town Administrator - Hingham Town Hall

210 Central Street

Hingham, MA 02043

Dear Mr. Mayo:

I have received the petition of Kaitlyn Shinney Farina appealing the response of the Town of Hingham (Town) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Farina requested three various categories of records within the possession of the Town. Claiming to have satisfied each of the respective fee estimates, but having not yet received the records for which she paid, Ms. Farina petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result.

Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town is working to compile the requested records and intends on providing them to Ms. Farina. Accordingly, the Town is hereby ordered to provide Ms. Farina with a response within ten business days. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms.

Farina may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).

Sincerely,

fulecco Munoy

Rebecca S. Murray
