Perez: I have received the petition of Mr. Justice Ainooson appealing the nonresponse of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to two requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, 5 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Ainooson requested records related to 91 1 calls, -- and records related to an identified individual in the Department. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Ainooson petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department had previously responded to Mr. Ainooson's requests. Nonetheless, after the Department was made aware of this appeal, a representative of the Department noted their willingness to provide a second response. Accordingly, the Department is hereby ordered to provide a response to Mr. Ainooson made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of ths response to this office at pre@- ,sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Ainooson may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days.
