Box 35 Edgartown, J\!lA 02539 Dear Ms. Williams: I have received the petition of Help Edgartown appealing the nonresponse of the Edgartown Town Clerk (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Help Edgartown requested records related to an identified individual, as well as records related to the compensation of the Town Administrator. Claiming to-not yet have received a substantive response, Help Edgartown petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town has compiled responsive records, and has made those records available for pickup at the Town Clerk's office. The Town's representative claims thatthis is the only feasible method of providing the records, as the request is too voluminous to transmit via email and Help Edgartown did not provide the Town with a mailing address. Accordingly, as the basis of this appeal was the Town's failure to provide a substantive written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Help Edgartown may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response ·within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
