The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords April 25, 2018 SPRlS/496 Sheila Page Town Planner Town of Ashland 101 Main Street Ashland, MA O1 721 Dear Ms. Page: I have received the petition of Stephen Morgan appealing the nomesponse of the Town of Ashland (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Morgan requested "a copy of any new ethics disclosure by Mr. Greenberg that has filed with the town." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Morgan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Town was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the Town noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, the Department is hereby ordered to provide a response to Mr. Morgan made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Morgan may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, __________ ______,._,../4_..l_Jlt_'.A'~ ~ J Rebecca S.
