The requirements for an appeal are follows: Such appeal shall be in \vriting. and shall include a copy of the letter by which the request was made and a copy of the letter by which the custodian responded. The Supervisor shall accept an appeal only from a person who had made his or her record request in vvriting. An oral request, while valid as a public record request pursuant to 950 CMR 32.06(1 )(a), may not be the basis of an appeal under 950 C.M.R. 32.08. See 950 C.M.R .32.08(1 )(g). In order for this office to proceed with your petition you must send a copy of the original request letter you sent to the Department and a copy of the letter(s) by wluch the Department responded.
