G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, you requested a copy of a certain email written by a Braintree High School Housemaster. Petitions to the Supervisor of Records for an appeal In Ms. Abelson's petition to the Supervisor of Records (Supervisor) for an appeal regarding her request to the Department, she indicates that she wishes to appeal the denial from the Department. While Ms. Abelson provided this office with a copy of her original request, she did not provide the Supervisor with a copy of the response from the Department. On June 21, 2018, a Public Records Division staff member attempted to contact you via email; however, to date this office has not received a reply from you. Ms. Abelson is reminded that under the requirements in the Public Records Access Regulations, when petitioning the Supervisor for an appeal, the requestor shall provide complete copies of all correspondence associated with the petition, including: a complete copy of all written responses associated with requests subject to petition for appeal. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1)(g)(2). Accordingly, once you have retrieved all the necessary paperwork, you may petition the Supervisor to open an appeal. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
