Chelmsford, MA 0 18 24 Dear Jeanne Parziale: I have received the petition from Stanley Mazurczyk appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Chelmsford - Office of Human Resources (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 5 10(A); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on May 28,2018, Mr. Mazurczyk 2010." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Mazurczyk petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Office sent a response to Mr. Mazurczyk requesting that he modify the scope of his request for records shortly after the initial request was made. This office encourages Mr. Mazurczyk and the Office to communicate further to enable the Office to provide the requested public records sought. G. L. c 66, 5 10(a)(i). The Office must use its knowledge of the records to facilitate providing any responsive records. G. L. c. 66, 5 lO(b)(vii) (a municipality shall suggest reasonable modification of the scope of the request or offer to assist the requestor to modify the scope of the request if doing so would enable the agency to produce records sought more efficiently and affordably).
