Lofstrom: I have received the petition of Mr. Justice Ainooson appealing the nomesponse of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to two requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Ainooson requested records related to two identified detectives. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Ainooson petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Ainooson's request with a response sent on August 21, 2018. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of Department's failure to provide a substantive written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
