The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 6, 2018 SPR18/1274 Donna Jurdak MCI Norfolk 2 Clark Street P.O. Box 43 Norfolk, MA 02056 Dear Ms. Jurdak: I have received the petition of Herbert Andrews appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Corrections (Department) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Andrews requested "a copy of (CCS) Dental Protocol." Having not yet have received a response, Mr. Andrews petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Department is working to compile the requested records and intends on providing Mr. Andrews with a written response. Said response must be made in accordance with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy ofthis response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Andrews may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
