The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervzsor of Records September 19,201 8 SPR18/1350 Nancy Piasecki Executive Director for the Office of the Superintendent Framingham Public Schools 150 Concord Street Framingham, MA 0 1702 Dear Ms. Piasecli: I have received the petition of Paul Sullivan appealing the nonresponse of the Framingham Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, 9 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Sullivan requested "a copy of the response documents provided to the Office of Civil Rights as a result of the request to the Superintendent of schools on April 10,2018." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Sullivan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the initial request. Nonetheless, the School provided Mr. Sullivan with a response to his request that was received on September 10,2018 . Mr. Sullivan may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety days. 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
