The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supewzsor of Records October 29,20 18 SPR18/1514 Megan Bridgers City of Brockton Law Department 45 School Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney Bridgers: I have received the petition of Marc Larocque appealing the nonresponse of the City of Brockton Law Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, 5 10A; see 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Larocque requested "any and all settlement agreements made by the city of Brockton this year to date with any of its employees or former employees" and "any factual report created this year for the city of Brockton using city funds or city resources as a result of investigation at the Brockton Parking Authority." Having received no response from the Department, Mr. Larocque appealed to this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, this office was notified that the Department provided a response on October with some of the requested documents and is currently working to provide the rest to Mr. Larocque. Accordingly, the Department is hereby ordered to provide said response in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
