The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords November 2, 2018 SPRlS/1585 JoAnn Gillis Records Coordinator Abington Police Department 215 Central Street Abington, MA 023 51 Dear Ms. Gillis: I have received the petition of Attorney Shauna Harris appealing the nonresponse of the Abington Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Harris requested internal affairs records and records related to complaints made against an identified Department employee. Having received no response, Attorney Harris petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated October 23, 2018. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Harris may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Shauna Harris, Esq.
