The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 16, 2018 SPRlS/1652 Maria F Romero, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Suffolk County Sheriffs Department 132 Portland Street Boston, MA 02114 Dear Attorney Romero: I have received the petition from Molly Linhorst appealing tli.e response from tli.e Suffolk County Sheriffs Department (Department) regarding a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Ms. Linhorst requested public records "showing the number of immigrant detainees currently being held by the Suffolk County Sheriffs Department." The Department provided a response to Ms. Linhorst on October 15, 2018 that said they were determining which documents were responsive to her request. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, this office received a response to Ms. Linhorst from the Department on November 9, 2018. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Linhorst may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
