The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords November 21, 2018 SPRlS/1670 Edward Coburn, Esq. Assistant Commtssioner and General Counsel Boston Inspectional Services Department 1010 Massachusetts A venue Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Coburn: I have received the petition of Sarah Schoff appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Inspectional Services Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Schoff requested "[n]otes, [r]eports, and [r]ecords related to the 2018 Annual Inspection" for three named Boston Public Schools. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Schoff petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided responsive records to Ms. Schoff's request with a response sent October 30, 2018. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department's failure to provide a substantive written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Schoff may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
