The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 21, 2018 SPR18/1687 Christopher Voss Director Administrative Services Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection One Winter Street Boston, MA 02108 Dear Mr. Voss: I have received the petition of Jason Rogers appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Rogers requested environmental records pertaining to Coppersmith Village, East Boston. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Rogers petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that MassDEP responded to Mr. Rogers' request with a response sent on November 19, 2018. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result ofMassDEP's failure to provide a substantive written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rogers may appeal the substantive nature ofMassDEP's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
