General Counsel Gloucester City Hall- Legal Department 9 Dale A venue Gloucester, MA 01930 Dear Attorney Payson: I have received the petition from Jeff Brown appealing the nonresponse from the City of Gloucester's Legal Department (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Brown requested "any and all emails between the Gloucester Historical Commission and Public Archaeology Laboratory." Having not received a substantive response from the City, Mr. Brown appealed to this office on November 26, 2018. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, this office was provided with a response from the City on November 29, 2018 which was provided to Mr. Brown. Based upon this response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Brown may appeal the substantive nature of the City's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
