The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords December 11, 2018 SPRlS/1845 Thomas Mayo Town Administrator Hingham Town Hall 210 Central Street Hingham, MA 02043 Dear Mr. Mayo: I have received the petition of Mark Sullivan appealing the nomesponse of the Town of Hingham (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Sullivan requested "billing information for the Hingham library's billing information regarding certain software filters." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Sullivan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Town was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the Town noted their willingness to provide a response. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Sullivan may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ Rebecca S.
