Silvia Records Access Officer Department of Correction 50 Maple Street, Suite 3 Milford, MA O1 7 57 Dear Ms. Silvia: I have received the petition of Michael Dreslinski appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Dreslinski requested three categories ofrecords including documents pertaining to the Department's procedures, policies, mission statement, as well as a "Classification Report." Claiming to have received no response, Mr. Dreslinski petitioned this office, and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, this office was notified that the Department had never received Mr. Dreslinski's request. Nevertheless, the Department has agreed to provide Mr. Dreslinski with a response. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide a response to Mr. Dreslinski made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. Mr. Dreslinski may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
