The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 20, 2019 SPR19/0244 Maria F, Romero Suffolk County Sheriffs Department 132 Portland Street Boston, MA 02114 Dear Attorney Romero: I have received the petition of Thomas Rogers appealing the nonresponse of the Suffolk County Sheriffs Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Rogers requested records related to the passing of his brother while in the custody of the Department. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Rogers a response to his request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rogers may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
