The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 22, 2019 SPR 19/0377 Ms. Tracy K. Kenney Town Clerk and Records Access Officer 801 Washington Street Canton, MA 02021 Dear Ms. Kenney: I have received the petition of Richard Karp appealing the nomesponse of the Town of Canton (Town) to a request dated December 10, 2018 for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Karp requested "all documents related to the bidding of the engineering portion of the Reservoir Dam Project." The Town has indicated that they did not receive this request, though they did receive a request dated November 19, 2018 for the same records. In response to the November 19th request, they provided a fee estimate. Given that the December 1 oth and November 19th requests seek the same records, I will consider the response provided to the November 19th request by the Town a response to the December 10th request as well. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Karp may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Richard Karp One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
