The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 22, 2019 SPR19/0381 & SPR19/0383 Ms. Tracy K. Kenney Town Clerk and Records Access Officer 801 Washington Street Canton, MA 02021 Dear Ms. Kenney: I have received the petition of Richard Karp appealing the nomesponse of the Town of Canton (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Karp requested documents related to the "Reservoir Dam Project." The Town has indicated that they "have no record of receiving these requests," though they note that "at the bottom of each document a reference is made to 'original date of request 10/31/18' and 'Denial Letter received 11/14/18'. On October 315 2018 the Town did receive a \ letter from the individual requesting documents and a response to that request was forwarded on November 14t\ 2018." Given that the Town previously responded to an identical records request with a fee estimate, I will consider the response provided to the October 31st request by the Town a response to the requests at issue here as well. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Karp may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
