Williams, Esq. Director of Public Records Records Access Officer City of Boston 1 City Hall Plaza, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition ofFatema Ahmad and Nimra H. Azmi appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Ahmad and Ms. Azmi requested "all records concerning the Department of Homeland Security 'Countering Violent Extremism' grant of $463,185 obtained by the Police Foundation for the 'Youth and Police Initiative Plus' program with the Boston Police Department." Subsequent-to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that Department provided Ms. Ahmad and Ms. Azmi a response to their request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Ahmad and Ms. Azmi may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
