The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords March 15, 2019 SPR19/0506 Chief Terence Delehanty Winthrop Police Department 3 Metcalf Square Winthrop, MA 02152 Dear Chief Delehanty: I have received the petition of Pat Bender appealing the response of the Winthrop Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bender requested "the disclosure of the name, address and charges relating to recent arrests made by the Winthrop Massachusetts PD during a specified date range." Unsatisfied with the Department's response, Mr. Bender appealed to this office and SPR19/0506 was opened as a result. While this appeal was pending, the Department provided a supplemental response to Mr. Bender on March 12, 2019. Mr. Bender sent an email to this office on March 12, 2019 indicating the Department had "adequately fulfilled my requests." Whereas this matter was opened based upon an appeal of the Department's response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bender may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ·~~ Rebecca S.
