The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords April 23, 2019 SPR19/815 Barbara J. Bartlett Town Clerk Town of Sterling One Park Street, Room 113 Sterling, MA 01564 Dear Ms. Bartlett: I have received the petition of Michael Rivers appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Sterling (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Rivers requested records relating to a specifically identified property, as well as copies "of any policy, bylaw, or statute ... " relating to internal Town policies. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Rivers petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town responded to Mr. Rivers' request with a response sent on April 23, 2019. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rivers may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
