Galvin Town Clerk Town of Milton 525 Canton A venue Milton, MA 02186 Dear Ms. Galvin: I have received the petition of Cindy Christiansen appealing the response of the Town of Milton (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1 OA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, on March 28, 2019, Cindy Christiansen requested seven categories of records "[f]or the time period 6/1/2018 and today, 3/28/2019" including communications between named custodians regarding herself. The Town responded on April 16, 2019 indicating their expected completion date. Unsatisfied with the Town's response, Ms. Christiansen appealed and SPR19/0862 was opened as a result. Previous appeals The requested records were the subject of a previous petition submitted by the Town. See SPR19/0766 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (April 22, 2019). In my April 22nd determination I informed the Town their fee petition could not be granted because it was not submitted in a timely manner. Tlte Town's April 16th response In its April 16th response, the Town states they "will need to extended the expected completion out thirty days from 04/16/2019." The Town indicates "[t]he new expected completion date is May 29, 2019." Ms. Christiansen is appealing on the basis of "the Town's choice for a 30-day extension." The Town has not submitted a petition under G. L. c. 66, § lO(c), therefore the Town must provide the records within 25 business days following the initial receipt of the request. See G.
