Murray Supervisor ofR ecords May 20, 2019 SPR19/957 Peter Lukes Town Manager Town of Holden 1204 Main Street Holden, MA O1 520 Dear Mr. Lukes: I have received the petitions of Matthew Rocheleau of the Boston Globe appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Holden (Town) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Rocheleau requested "[m]unicipal payroll data; in spreadsheet form ... for calendar years 2016, 2017, and 2018 ... " concerning Town employees. Claiming to not yet have received any responsive records, Mr. Rocheleau petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing Mr. Rocheleau with a written response. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to make said response to Mr. Rocheleau in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Rocheleau may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
