The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records June 12, 2019 SPR19/1138 Susan M. Galvin Town Clerk Town of Milton 525 Canton A venue Milton, MA 02186 Dear Ms. Galvin: I have received the petition of Cindy Christiansen appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Milton (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Christiansen requested communications from four identified individuals, as well as one state agency, within a certain timeline. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Christiansen petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on proving a written response to Ms. Christiansen, as well as any responsive records within the Town's possession. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Ms. Christiansen with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Christiansen may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~a~ Supervisor of Records cc: Cindy L.
