The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords June 18, 2019 SPR19/1142 Ms. Theresa Lapore Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination One Ashburton Place, Room 601 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Ms. Lapore: I have received the petition of Mr. Stevan Johnson appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (Commission) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Johnson requested records related to "the alleged still active and ongoing human (labor) trafficking racket which is believed to violate the Hobbs Act." Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Commission intends to provide Mr. Johnson a response to his request. Accordingly, the Commission is ordered to provide Mr. Johnson with a response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Johnson may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
