G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Mroz requested "detailed information of the individual expenditures, to whom they were paid, and their funding source, which aggregate to the amount of $1,445,521 as is reported in line item '3 600 School Security' in the End of Year Report for Fiscal Year 2018 submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education." Unsatisfied with the School's response, in which they provided responsive records, Mr. Mroz petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Mr. Mroz is appealing on the basis that the School "did not provide a competent response to the request for Public Records. It provided three spreadsheets, which only list 'Salaries' as the expenditure, and only for some of the expenditures. They don't identify to whom, or for what purpose the expenditures were made." Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the School intends on providing a supplemental response to Mr. Mroz. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Mr. Mroz with a response in accordance with tnePubhc Records Law, its Access Regulat10ns andlfos ord~e_r_w~i~th~i-n~t-en--------~ business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Mroz may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety days.
