The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords June 18, 2019 SPR19/ll88 Timothy Luff Assistant Superintendent Natick Public Schools 13 East Central Street Natick, MA 01760 Dear Mr. Luff: I have received the petition of Corey Spaulding appealing the response of the Natick Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Spaulding requested information concerning evidence of a "residency investigation." Unsatisfied with the School's response in which they claimed they "have no specific documents responsive to ... " her request, Ms. Spaulding petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the School intends on proving a written response to Ms. Spaulding. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Ms. Spaulding with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Spaulding may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ Rebecca S.
