The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray S11pen1isor ofR ecords July 2, 2019 SPR19/1308 Thomas M. Judge Fire Chief Concord Fire Depaiiment 209 Walden Street Concord, MA 01742 Dear Chief Judge: I have received the petition of Edward Sinni appealing the response of the Concord Fire Depaiiment (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Sinni requested records relating to fire escapes at a condominium complex, and certain Department operational procedures. Claiming to not yet have received the information he had requested, Mr. Sinni petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that Mr. Sinni contacted this office and itemized his concerns. A representative from the Depaiiment intends on providing a written response to Mr. Sinni, addressing each of the concerns outlined in his appeal. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Sinni with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Sinni may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
