The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supen>isor of Records July 23, 2019 SPR19/1461 Agapi Koulouris General Counsel Depaiiment of Criminal Justice Information Services 200 Arlington Street, Suite 2200 Chelsea, MA 02150 Dear Attorney Koulouris: I have received the petition of Ardil Innis appealing the nonresponse of the Depaiiment of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Ardil Innis requested "the date and time of any inquiry ... " relating to their name through DCJIS by any state agency "in the months of September and October 2010." Claiming to not yet have received a response, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from DCJIS intends on providing a written response to the requestor. Accordingly, DCJIS is ordered to provide the requestor with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. The requester may appeal the substantive nature of DCJIS' response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
