Massachusetts Department of State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Farrell: I have received the petition of Pat Bender appealing the nonresponse of the Department of State Police (Depaiiment) to requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bender requested daily logs within the possession of the Department. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Bender petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Bender's requests with a response sent on August 9, 2019. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bender may appeal the substantive nature of the Depaiiment's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
